Real Wedding

Cayla & Connor | Main Street Ballroom Wedding | Maryland Wedding Coordinator

On my way to the rehearsal for Connor and Cayla, I received a phone call. It was the best man, the grooms brother, asking if I knew the venues policy for dogs. You see, Cayla and Connor have two pups that mean the world to them. I knew this because we even talked about them during our initial conversation, and they were also involved in their engagement session. Thankfully, Cayla and Connor were celebrating their wedding at one of the coolest venues- Main Street Ballroom...so YES bring on the dogs! This phone call set the tone for the wedding weekend, it was full of fun, laughter, and people clearly so excited to celebrate Cayla and Connor.

The girls got ready at a "castle" right in-between their ceremony and reception venues, we pulled into the driveway and my jaw dropped. How did this beautiful little castle make its way to Ellicott City? Seriously, Patapsco Female Institute and Main Street Ballroom brides, check it out!

Guests made their way to the Patapsco Female Institute via trolley and the fun was just beginning! The ceremony backdrop was a beautiful set of doors built by the grooms family, the view from the top of the hill was perfect and the weather was exactly what you would hope for on a fall day. If you haven't been to the Patapsco Female Institute, I highly recommend checking it out! The grounds are so unique! A perfect setting for such a beautiful bride (Cayla's long sleeve dress- OMG!) and groom. The ceremony itself was perfectly heartfelt, a beautiful combination of humor and sentimental words.

After the I Do's were complete, guests were trolleyed down the hill and across the street to Main Street Ballroom, where the party was just getting started. Absolutely Perfect Catering had a beautiful setup for cocktail hour and guests were enjoying the perfect weather on the Main Street Ballroom patio.

The reception kicked off with a beautiful first dance, a wonderful dinner and heartfelt speeches. This is also where that earlier mentioned phone call about the dog policy came into play...during the best man speech, in came Cayla & Connor's pups! It was a perfectly planned surprise.

The rest of the reception took off in a similar fashion- lots of fun, dancing, and a great drinks all around. Another reminder of why we LOVE what we do! Newlyweds celebrating and singing their hearts out with their closest family and friends.

THANK YOU to the amazing vendors:

Autumn & Gino | Lighthouse Sound | Maryland Wedding Coordinator

Nearing the end of 2017, we got a message with a message including photograph of two close family friends...plus a beautiful ENGAGEMENT RING! Gino popped the question while he and Autumn were on vacation and the wedding planning started as soon as they got home. We were off to the races discussing venues, color schemes, the whole nine yards for a beautiful spring Maryland wedding.

Ocean City, Maryland is a special place for many Baltimore locals, but especially Autumn and Gino, so anywhere near "the beach" as us Baltimoreans call it, would be the perfect setting for their wedding. After a few venue tours, Lighthouse Sound was deemed number one and the ideas continued to flow.

Gino is an architect for a landscaping company, so flowers, greenery, and even trees were a very important aspect to the big day, the Baltimore Ravens are a favorite (of course!) so purple was included in many ways, and these two have so many close relationships with friends and family that they were also thought of throughout the planning process.

A few of my favorite aspects were the escort herbs where each person had their herb sitting at their seat with a paper flag that had their name one it, the beautiful guest book tree that Autumn and Gino painted, and the FUN first dance they shared. It was a dance party once they kicked up the music!

Autumn and Gino are perfect for each other, they always make eachother laugh (as well as everyone else around them) and are so crafty that DIY projects were no struggle! Enjoy these photos from their special day!

2018: Our Best Year Yet | Maryland Wedding Coordinator

Who knew that having a baby during peak wedding season would still get us our best year ever? We met our goal early in the year, started booking for this year much earlier than we ever had, and we have been blessed with some of the most amazing clients.

2018 was full of meetings with the sweetest clients where we left feeling incredibly thankful for the couples that have faith in us. I truly think this will be a year I look back on forever, no matter how many couples we work with in the future. It was a learning year with a variety of styles, colors. etc., a wide array of different vendors and more.

It's hard to summarize all of the feelings we have for the several wedding weekends, beautiful sparkler send-offs and most importantly, couples that have shared the first day of their new adventure with us. Take a look back at some of the special days we were involved in throughout 2018 and follow along for the next few months as we work to recap each wedding (plus a few more that aren’t pictured!)!

Thank you to the amazing photographers we worked with in 2018 for sharing photographs with us! We truly couldn't have had such a wonderful year without you!
