Nautical Wedding

Amanda & Josh | Celebrations at the Bay Wedding | Maryland Wedding Planner

Walking out of Starbucks after our initial consultation, I said a prayer that Amanda and Josh would book with us. As I sat with them and their moms, I knew they were the type of clients we wanted to spend time planning with. Amanda knew what she wanted and Josh knew he wanted to make sure Amanda had everything on her list. Their moms, Maureen and Sue, wanted both of them to have their wishes come true.

The five of us talked like we had known each other forever, and that remained the same for the entire planning process. From getting to see Amanda & Josh's new house, then Sue's new house, bonding over the news of Baby Volpe and going over every personal wedding detail, we all had so much fun. The wedding weekend arrived and I was overjoyed to know that these two were finally becoming husband and wife because they were 110% meant for each other.

The weekend was beautiful, and Josh had the very best reaction of any groom when he saw Amanda for the first time. It melted my heart, and I am sure everyone else's as well. The love these two have for each other is hard to explain, it's the kind that you can tell it's easy for them because they are perfect together, as they have been for almost 10 years! Their families also have a love for them that bursts out of their hearts at all times. The Palmer and Chiasson families will always have a special places in our hearts, what an adventure it was with all of them!

Amanda and Josh answered some fun questions that we didn't have the chance to share before their wedding, check out their answers below!

How did you meet?

We met at an 8th grade graduation pool party. He got my number through a mutual friend because we both thought that the other was cute, but we were too nervous to ask for each others' number in person. We went on a couple adorably awkward junior high dates. He asked me to be his girlfriend at my freshman homecoming dance and now we're getting married!

LOVE these three!!

LOVE these three!!

What was your favorite part of wedding planning?

Our favorite part of wedding planning is seeing our dream come to life before our eyes. Yes, a wedding can be very stressful at times, but I wouldn't want to go through it with anyone else but him.

Do you have any advice for future brides and grooms?

My advice would be to stay patient and be kind. There are going to be times when wedding planning will seem to be extremely stressful and you are drowning in decisions, but always take a step back, remember why you are getting married, and make time for each other. Don't forget to have some spontaneous date nights!!!

The Enchanting Elopement

This has been one amazing year. Not only for Enchanting Events itself but for the relationships that have blossomed over the last 12 months. We have worked with, built friendships, and met so many amazing people and we couldn’t be more thankful for that. The beautiful couples we were able to send down the aisle to the other people in the industry we now talk to on a pretty much daily basis. We couldn’t be more thankful for where this business has brought us, and we can’t wait to see what 2017 has in store.

We wanted to end this year not only with a bang, but with one last gathering of amazing wedding professionals and send one last couple down the aisle. That is where The Enchanting Elopement was born. Bringing together endless talent, a beautiful bayside venue and this season of giving to offer one special couple an intimate wedding to end the year as Mr & Mrs.

The Enchanting Elopement took place this past Monday, December 12th as Jami and Brad vowed to spend the rest of their lives together. Friends, their pups and family gathered to laugh, dance and be merry as the rain stopped and the sun peaked out above the water. There were tears from sweet sentiments shared amongst them, cheers to the next adventure, and a beautiful view to seal the deal.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Brad Crist! What a way to close 2016.

Thank you again to all of the amazing professionals that went along with our crazy idea to make this happen. Without your hardwork, generosity, and care we couldn’t have pulled it off without you. This creative community is one for the books!

Annapolis Nautical Wedding Styled Shoot

Our Annapolis nautical wedding styled shoot took place on the most beautiful December day. Not only was the weather perfect, but the team that worked with us for this shoot was a dream. There were lots of laughs, delicious bagels while we set-up and a view that was undeniably beautiful. When you have a location as beautiful and historic as Historic Inns of Annapolis- The Maryland Inn, there is bound to be a vintage and crisp vision to be brought to life.

The Maryland Inn is one of the oldest buildings in Maryland and is full of classic charm. The beauty is endless from the chandeliers and wooden staircases to the crown moulding and large fireplaces, it was just a dream. Then to have such a wonderful neighborhood surrounding it…does it get more perfect?

The venue is a quick walk away from the docks of Annapolis, which made for the very best backdrop for our sweethearts. The nautical charm was mesmerizing, and we were so excited to see the sail boats going to and fro behind our bride and groom. Of course, what is your big day without your other best friend by your side? The bride and bridesmaid shots are some of my favorites. The navy details, beautiful florals and obvious love between these two gals is perfect.

We had so much fun putting this nautical wedding shoot together, and we can’t thank the other creatives and models enough for their time. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as we do!
