Wedding season is happening and you have a few weddings to go to this year. But what do you wear? Depending on where you are the options may be different, but I want to save the day for all of the East Coast wedding guests that are attending a nice humid wedding this summer.
First things first, what is the attire for the wedding?
Business Casual- Think sundresses, you don't need to be very fancy, but you also don't want to show up in a dress that should actually be a cover-up.
Semi-formal or Dressy Casual- Cocktail attire
Formal or Black Tie Optional- Long dress
Black Tie- Formal gown
After you know the attire expected for the wedding you are attending, think about the location. What will the weather be like? Is it indoors or outdoors? Keep this in mind as you look at the following outfits for a summer wedding.
Karen Zambos Blue Tara Dress
I love this fun dress! Perfect for a beach or waterfront wedding, and the side cut outs keep it more casual.
Saylor Teal Rose Bush Lace Sheath
This is a little more on the fancy side, but another great mix of casual and fun.
Shoshanna Navy Dress
I LOVE this dress! I think it would be perfect for an outdoor summer wedding
Jill Jill Stuart Pink Two-Toned Popover Gown
If you are looking for something leaning a little more on the formal side, but not exactly Black Tie, this dress is a perfect combination!
Jay Godfrey Black Lace Triangle Gown
This dress is a stunner! The lace detail adds a little something extra and also gives the formal look.
Badgley Mischka Navy Petunia Gown
The neckline of this dress is a winner in my book! I love the different style while still remaining formal.
Jill Jill Stuart Elderberry Side Cut Out Gown
A black tie dress can still be fun with the stunning side cut outs of this deep purple dress
Laundry by Shelli Segal Charleston Gown
I am channeling The Great Gatsby with this stunner! The perfect black tie gown!
Rent The Runway is the perfect way to get a different dress for every occasion. They also have a new membership option called the RTR Style Pass where you can rent any dress for $65! I joined with this option and absolutely love it so far! If you are interested in trying it out, here is my referral link. I highly recommend it!
Remember- stay away from shades of white! I, personally, also stay away from red. It's such a bright statement color and you don't want to stand out in photos of a crowd ;)
