You spend months planning, designing, stressing, and (of course) paying for your wedding day, so why not ensure that everything goes perfectly when the day arrives? Many couples decide to sacrifice the cost of a wedding coordinator and, instead, have friends and family volunteer, but wouldn't it be nice to take the stress off of everyone and leave coordination to someone who will not be attending as a guest? Also, wouldn’t you appreciate that your wedding day vision is in a professional's hands - not just someone who is “type A” and will “get the job done?” In this post, I am going to get down to business with a few reasons why hiring a wedding coordinator may be the BEST wedding decision for you. Chaos Coordinator

We are experienced in managing multiple wedding vendors, guests stuck in traffic, and teary-eyed family members. We know the questions a DJ might ask the week of the wedding, we expect to jump in and help the florist style centerpieces to match Pinterest boards, and we understand the emotions of each member of your family on one of the most important days of a person’s life. A wedding coordinator is much more than someone to set-up your wedding décor; we provide a helping hand through the last weeks of your engagement, which is a very special season of life. These last few weeks should be cherished - spent with family as they arrive into town and with bridesmaids as you have your nails done without worrying to constantly check your email or take phone calls that could easily be answered by others.

The Expert Time-Managers

Your wedding timeline may seem like an easy task, but if you have never planned a wedding before, or payed close attention to the timing details, it may not be as easy as it looks. We work with each of your vendors to ensure they have the best timing to do their jobs and also the best timing for you, your family, and the bridal party to have the best experience. We are the liaison between all parties and work to find the best fit for everyone. We also pay close attention to the vendor contracts. For example, if you only have your photographer for 8 hours, we want to make sure that all of the big events are taking place within those 8 hours.

On the day of your wedding, it will not only be easier to go through the details while working off of the timeline, but it will also ensure that everything is accomplished. We are there all day to follow through with the timeline at every step. From hair and makeup time before the ceremony, until the grounds are clean once again, we will be here for you through it all.

It Tastes Sweeter

When you didn't spend the weeks leading up to your wedding finalizing ALL of the little things, it feels that much better to just watch it come together seamlessly. Let your Wedding Coordinator do all of the behind-the-scenes work, such as calling vendors last minute, double checking the floor plan placement, and checking the traffic situation. You already have more meaningful things to do, like laughing with your girls on your last night of being single and reflecting on what it means to celebrate your day with those who mean the most to you.

You Are the Priority

On your wedding weekend, YOU are the sole focus of your wedding coordinator and their team. When guests, friends, family, etc. are helping with your wedding day, they are also focused on being a guest. “What will I wear?” “When will I do my hair?” These thoughts are likely running through their minds, while they are trying to stay on task and finish what you have asked of them.

The same goes for vendors. We know there are many vendors out there that will assist with things like planning the timeline, but letting them do the jobs they were paid to do is always better. Your photographer should be focused on your photographs, your DJ should be working to get the set-up ready to go before it's time to mic the groom for the ceremony, and the catering staff should be preparing the food that will be ready for the cocktail hour. During this busy time, your Wedding Coordinator will be focusing on what is important to YOU: the details you carefully selected, the perfect flow of the train on your wedding dress as you begin to walk down the aisle, and the remaining vendors arriving on time and prepared.

We often hear that the venue coordinator will handle “day-of coordination,” but please remember that what I mentioned above goes for them as well. They are focused on the venue and everything that goes along with it; you need someone to advocate for you.

With all of that being said, it IS possible to go without a wedding coordinator (don’t tell anyone I said that!), BUT you will have a different experience. A coordinator is absolutely another item to add to the budget, but you should be enjoying the fruits of your labor...and that labor should end weeks before your wedding day arrives!
